Autistic & ADHD celebrant

A ceremony where you can be completely yourself.

Warm, relaxed and neurodivergent-friendly weddings across Redlands, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

See how I can help

Lived experience, genuine understanding

Your wedding is not
an endurance test.

I'm Kat—an autistic and ADHD celebrant who understands that a joyful wedding can still feel overwhelming.

You should not have to mask, force eye contact, memorise words or follow traditions that make you uncomfortable. We will create a ceremony that feels safe, meaningful and unmistakably yours.

Neurodivergence looks different for everyone. I will never assume what you need. We can begin with one simple question: What would help you feel more comfortable?

Practical accommodations

Support that is
actually practical.

Choose what helps and ignore what does not. Everything is discussed with you and tailored to you as a couple.

01

Clear, written steps

A simple ceremony plan so you know what will happen, in what order and what is expected of you.

02

Gentle reminders

Clear deadlines and friendly reminders to make the paperwork and planning easier to manage.

03

Your communication style

Email or text instead of phone calls, questions in advance and plain, direct explanations.

04

Flexible meetings

Shorter appointments, breaks when needed and the option to meet by video rather than in person.

05

No unwanted surprises

No unexpected audience participation, last-minute additions or changes without discussing them with you.

06

A rehearsal or walkthrough

Practise in person or talk through the ceremony step by step so the day feels familiar.

07

Vows your way

Read from a card or phone, repeat after me, keep them private or choose simple legal vows only.

08

Freedom to be yourself

Move, fidget, look away, hold hands, use a comfort item or show emotion in your own way.

09

Sensory-aware planning

Consider noise, microphones, lighting, crowd size, waiting time, clothing and a quiet place to pause.

10

A comfortable ceremony length

Keep things short and simple or build in breathing space—there is no ideal length you must meet.

11

Traditions are optional

Skip entrances, readings, ring exchanges, speeches or anything else that does not feel right for you.

12

A calm backup plan

Agree on what happens if you become overwhelmed, need a break or want me to gently guide the next step.

No diagnosis. No judgement. No need to explain everything.

You can simply tell me,
“This would make it easier.”

Your preferences matter whether they relate to autism, ADHD, anxiety, disability, sensory sensitivity—or simply being a human who wants to feel comfortable on an important day.

Tell me what helps

What to expect

A clear path from
hello to “I do”.

You will know what is happening throughout the process, with room to ask questions and change what is not working.

01

Tell me your preferences

Contact me in the way that feels easiest. Share as much or as little as you like.

02

We make a clear plan

I break the process into manageable steps and confirm the ceremony details in writing.

03

Practise if helpful

We can rehearse, video chat or walk through each moment and agree on a backup plan.

04

Get married your way

On the day, I guide you calmly and adapt if you need a pause, prompt or change of pace.

Questions you may be wondering

Comfortable asking.
Easy to understand.

Do we need a formal diagnosis?+

No. You never need a diagnosis to ask for comfort, clarity or adjustments. You can simply tell me what helps you—or that you are not sure yet.

Do we have to tell our guests?+

Not at all. Anything you share with me about your needs is treated respectfully. Your ceremony can be adapted without announcing why.

What if only one of us is neurodivergent?+

That is completely fine. We will plan communication and ceremony choices that help both partners feel heard, comfortable and included.

What if we do not like being the centre of attention?+

We can keep the ceremony intimate, brief and low-pressure. You can stand together from the beginning, avoid a traditional entrance and reduce anything that feels performative.

What if we become overwhelmed on the day?+

We can agree on a discreet signal, pause, take a breath, shorten a section or continue when you are ready. There is no embarrassment and no judgement.

Are these adjustments only for autistic or ADHD couples?+

No. They are available to anyone who would feel more comfortable with extra clarity, flexibility or a gentler ceremony experience.

Let's create something beautiful

your special day.
